How long is an initial meeting?

We like to block out an hour and 15 minutes. This gives us time to really talk through what your wardrobe needs to look like, gather measurements and select fabric.

What does a first order look like?

We like to start with just an outfit or two, to really nail down your measurements and preferences. That can either be a suit and shirt or blazer, trouser and shirt. We’ll determine what the priority is for you based on your needs, work and lifestyle.

How long does it take until I get my order?

Typically 8 weeks, with an in person fitting at the 6 week mark. Add 2-3 weeks if we’re using cloth from a boutique mill. Once we have your fit down, things get smoother and faster as we build your wardrobe.

What sets your garments apart from off-the-rack clothing?

Off-the-rack suiting is largely based on averages. On what will fit the masses, not you. We take over 35 measurements, take a piece of fabric and construct your garment to fit you and you only. 

How do I schedule an appointment for a consultation?

Fill out our contact form and we’ll reach out to schedule an initial call to learn about what you’re looking for. After an initial call, we’ll schedule our first appointment. 

Can I choose the fabrics for my garments?

We have spent years understanding fabric and what the best fabric is for each person. We’ll walk through a number of questions to truly understand what the best fabric is for you and your lifestyle.

How long does it take to create a suit from start to finish?

6-7 weeks from our initial meeting until you come back in for your fitting. We’ll then make adjustments in house and have your garment in your closet within 1-2 weeks. Add 2-3 weeks for premium fabric.

Do you cater to both men's and women's clothing needs?

We offer everything for men, and we now offer women’s suits, blazers and denim.

Can I request alterations or modifications to my garments after the final fitting?

We offer one round of adjustments within 3 months or purchase. After that, we’re happy to make adjustments for a fee.

How do I care for my bespoke garments to ensure their longevity?

We recommend having your trousers cleaned after 4-6 wears. Jackets as infrequently as possible. Consider cleaning jackets on an as needed based. Shirts should be cleaned after every wear. Shirts-laundered, pressed, no starch.

Are there specific fabrics or styles you recommend for different seasons or occasions?

We have thousands of fabrics. From ultra light fabric that you can wear in Miami heat to outerwear built for true Michigan winters, and everything in between. Fabric is our love, our passion and our expertise. Lean on us for guidance. 

How frequently should I update my wardrobe?

We meet with most clients twice per year. Once ahead of spring/summer (Feb—April) and once ahead of fall/winter (August-October). We have some clients who always have something in the works and have for many years. 

Can I reorder a previously created garment using the same pattern and fabric?

This is the beauty of custom. Once we build your initial measurements, we’ll keep them on file. After that the process gets easier and faster. You can select new fabrics in house or remotely.

What is the process for creating a custom shirt or accessory?

We’ll take up to 15 measurements and go over the design of the shirt, select buttons, collar and cuff style, ensure enough space over your watch and make sure you have enough length so the shirt stays tucked in.

Do you offer gift cards or gift certificates?

We have all gift cards made by a local calligrapher. They can be for any dollar amount. They typically take a week to produce.

How do I stay informed about new fabric collections, styles, or promotions?

Can I consult with a stylist for guidance on building a cohesive wardrobe?

This is truly the only way we operate. We are a true full service custom shop. People don’t come in and simply pick up a random item of clothing. We meet by appointment for a reason. We need to understand you as a person and what you need. We work with you, to guide you through the journey of building a world class wardrobe. 

Do you offer a warranty?

We guarantee all of our work. You will never be left with something that does not fit or you don’t love. If you have any concern, you have the ability to bring that concern up with your clothier and we’ll always make it right. 

What is your return policy?

There are no returns on custom garments that were made for you. If there is an issue that cannot be rectified on your garment, we’ll remake the garment. You being completely satisfied is our only concern. Ready made goods can be returned within 14 days as long as it’s unworn with tags.
